Brian Murphy has been fighting for the people of Cambridge as a city councillor since 2001. He is driven by results, passionate about progressive issues, and committed to bringing people together to implement positive solutions to city challenges.

A pragmatic progressive, Brian works to strengthen the fabric of our neighborhoods, seek progressive and responsible fiscal solutions, solve the affordable housing crisis, support increased performance and accountability in our public schools, and sustain our quality of life through environmental protection and defending our rights.

Brian Murphy is also an attorney, a community activist, and a proud parent. A graduate of Harvard and the University of Chicago Law School, Brian and his wife Kate Champion Murphy have two children, Molly and Joseph.
